Cross Country Skiing VSC High School Team (Gr. 9-12)
Clubs & Enrichment / Winter Outdoor Recreation -
Registration is open for Traverse City High School Nordic Ski Team, a club team for grades 9-12. This is a combined team of skiers from various Traverse City area high schools. Cross Country skiers of all ability levels are welcome to join! The team focuses on building technique, endurance, and strength while having fun. If you've never skied before, no problem! Coaches will work with you to get you comfortable on skis and ready to race - there are opportunities for all ability levels. Skiers on the team participate in multiple levels of racing, ranging from local to national. The season schedule includes races from the Michigan Cup circuit, the CXC Cup circuit and US Ski & Snowboard Supertour. The Michigan State Championship meet is held each February with skiers competing for the state title. Top skiers also compete in Junior National Qualifiers for a chance to qualify for Junior Nationals.
PER MDHHS Nordic Ski is unable to meet in person until 12/20.
Please contact Coach Ruth for individual dry land training information.
