Summer is a great time to learn something new or improve upon your skills. LEAP offers and features local camp opportunities ranging from Youth Football to Young Americans Music Camps, to Robotics.
Looking to stay active in the winter? LEAP has some great partnerships offering ways to get outdoors this winter.
Elementary Basketball is open to boys and girls in 2nd - 5th grade. Girls basketball is during the Fall, boys 4th-5th begin in the Winter, and 2nd-3rd meet in the Spring.
Elementary Cross-Country is open to boys and girls in 3rd - 5th grade. The season begins in September and will run for six weeks.
Elementary Flag Football is open to boys and girls in 2nd - 5th grade. The season begins on Monday, September 18th and will run for five weeks.
Elementary Tennis is open to boys and girls in 2nd - 5th grade. The season begins in May and will run for four-five weeks.
Elementary Track & Field is open to boys and girls in 4th - 5th grade. The season begins in April and will run for six weeks.
Elementary Volleyball is open to boys and girls in 4th - 5th grade. The season begins in February and will run for five - six weeks.
Elementary Cross-Country is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten - 5th grade. The season begins in January and will run for six weeks.
Middle School Basketball is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. Boys basketball begins in October, and Girls Basketball begins in January.
Middle School Cross-Country is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. Cross-Country begins in August, and will run for nine weeks.
Middle School Football is open to students in 7th - 8th grade. The season begins in August and will run for approximately nine weeks.
Middle School Girls Volleyball is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The season begins in August and will run for approximately eight weeks.
Middle School Sideline Cheer is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The season coincides with 7th - 8th grade Football will begin in August and run for approximately nine weeks.
Middle School Girls Softball is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The season begins in April and runs for approximately eight weeks.
Middle School Tennis is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. Tennis brings students together in teams to play singles, doubles, and mixed doubles against other teams. Middle school tennis is six weeks in length and will begin in April.
Middle School Track & Field is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The eight week season begins in April.
Middle School Wrestling is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The nine - ten week season will begin in January.
LEAP Wrestling is open to students in K - 5 Grade. This program will include introduction to wrestling rules and technique for all experience levels. Participants will learn from either TC Central High School varsity head coach Donald Funk or TC West Senior High School varsity head coach Berard Priante along with current the high school wrestling staff and current varsity wrestlers. Wrestlers will experience some of the key core values to successfully compete in a largely individual sport including personal responsibility, discipline, strength, balance, coordination, and respect for one another.

Central Side: Grades 2-5
Practice Schedule:The Central League will meet on Mondays & Thursdays from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the New Gymnasium at Central High School (1150 Milliken, Traverse City) with CHS Coach Don Funk
Season start: February 3, 2025 through Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Note: No practice on Thursday 2/27/25.
End of Season Tournament: Saturday, March 8, 2025 @ TC West Senior High School 9:00 am.
Cost: $60.00
Equipment Needed: Students should wear wrestling shoes or socks. Wrestling shoes are completely optional and absolutely not required.Helpful Information: In the event school is closed, no LEAP activities will be held per TCAPS policy. There is no guarantee of a make-up date in the case of inclement weather.

Practice Schedule: The West League will meet at West Senior High School Tuesday and Wednesday each week from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the Wrestling Room across from the gymnasiums with WSH Coach Jeremy Edenburn.
