Middle School Girls Softball is open to students in 6th - 8th grade. The season begins in April and runs for approximately eight weeks. During that time, girls will be coached on the fundamental skills needed for the game including throwing, fielding, hitting, and pitching.

    About Girls Softball LEAP middle school girls softball welcomes middle school students of all ability levels and experience. LEAP Middle School Softball is open to all 6th - 8th grade participants. There will be up to 3 teams at each school depending on the availability of coaches. SPACE IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE, BASIS. Grade levels may be combined based on skill level/ability. If we are unable to identify a coach for each team, refunds may need to be issued. This six-week program of educational athletics will focus on the fundamental skills needed for the game including throwing, fielding, hitting and pitching. Games will be scheduled with other comparable school teams from the area throughout the season with exact schedules TBD. A high level of sportsmanship will be expected of all involved with the program. Season Start & End Dates Monday, March 31st, 2024 - Friday, May 30, 2025 East Middle School Preliminary Evaluation Clinics will take place outside (weather permitting) or in the East Middle School Gyms. Tuesday, April 1st TBD Wednesday, April 2nd TBD Thursday, April 3rd TB TEAM PRACTICES will begin on the week of April 7th. Water Bottle 3 STEP ENROLLMENT PROCESS: 1) Registration & Payment: (Eleyo) Deadline: Friday, March 14, 2025 TCAPS Students: $140.00 Reduced Meals Participation Fee: $70.00 - if registered by the deadline Free Meals Participation Fee: $40.00 - if registered by the deadline Registration deadlines are FINAL. Late registrations may not be accepted after the posted registration close date. If late registration is available, there will be a $25.00 late fee added to the cost of registration. NOTE: Payment is required at the time of registration. You may register online using a Discover, MasterCard, Visa, or ACH (via a checking or savings account) please register below. Registration is not complete until your course appears in your dashboard. You will also receive an email from Eleyo confirming your registration. If you do not receive the confirmation email or see the course in your dashboard, be sure you have not left any course items in your shopping basket. If you need assistance please call the LEAP office (231.933.7480). If you did not receive an email from Eleyo or see your course in your dashboard, the payment did not process and the student is not registered. 2) Create or Update your Account in FinalForms: ALL STUDENTS MUST REGISTER FOR A FINALFORMS ACCOUNT IN ADDITION TO REGISTERING/PAYING Please register at: https://traversecity-mi.finalforms.com and follow the prompts to create your account, create your students, and sign your forms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom and click “Use Support,” or feel free to contact our office. NOTE: During parent registration, you will need to input your students’ TCAPS email address. 3) Turn in a Current Sports Physicals: Middle School Athletes must have an updated physical on file each school year. Sports physicals must be dated April 15th, 2024 or later, & can be used for the entire 2024 - 25 school year. Your athlete MAY NOT attend practices/evaluations etc. until this is on file. Physicals can be uploaded into your Final Forms account or emailed to Bobbi Jo Lawrence. Need a new physical? Download and print the TCAPS physical form here and then call your family physician or the TCAPS Student Health Center at (231-642-5291) to schedule a physical for your child.
