    VASA Ski Club Nordic Flyers Cross Country SkiingThe VASA Nordic Flyers Program is a learn to cross country ski program and is open to boys and girls in 6th - 8th grade. The season begins on Tuesday, January 8th runs for eight weeks, and will conclude on Thursday, February 28th, 2019.Students will ride a BATA Bus from EMS,WMS and SEAS via the BATA Ride & Ski Route to the program, participants will need to be picked up at Timber Ridge at 5:30 pm. Registration fee includes all BATA fees ($1.50 per ride, per student) Season Start & End DatesTuesday, January 8th, 2019 - Thursday, February 28th, 2019.ScheduleSessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm at Timber Ridge Resort.Tuesdays: January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th & February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th.Thursdays: January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st & February 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. Transportation will be provided by BATA Bus utilizing the BATA Ride & Ski Route - registration includes all BATA fees. Students will only receive transportation TO Timber Ridge - participants will need to be picked up at Timber Ridge at 5:30 pm.No program will be held on TCAPS half days, snow days, or when after school activities are canceled due to inclement weather.VASA Ski Club reserves the right to cancel program dates within 24 hours due to unsafe skiing/trail condition. Important Dates Program Open House and Equipment Fitting: Saturday, December 29th, 2018 @ Timber Ridge from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. This important open house provides parents/guardians the opportunity to meet program administrators, coaching staff as well as to sign mandatory waivers that enable your skier to participate in the program. Your student will be unable to participate in the program until these forms are turned in. The following waivers below must be completed by January 3rd, 2019.  Forms can either be printed and brought to the program open house on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 - or scanned and emailed to the program administrator at: 1516fair@gmail.com. Please do NOT drop forms off at Timber Ridge outside of open house hours  VASA NORDIC FLYERS 2018 REGISTRATION FORM Timber Ridge 2019 - Pass Holder Waiver/Rental Equipment Agreement Additionally, your skier will receive proper fitting of rental equipment. Helpful Information Please have your skier dress appropriately for the weather. All rental equipment is owned by the VASA Ski Club. Timber Ridge is located at: 4050 E Hammond Rd, Traverse City, MI 49686.  Communication will be done primarily through email - and is often last minute in regards to weather/trail conditions - please ensure the email address attached to your registration is an active email that is checked regularly.  If you'd like to complete the mandatory waivers before the program open house - they are below Participation Fee $110 - No rental equipment $160 - rental equipment included with registration All registrations include access to the BATA Ride & Ski route at no additional cost - BATA Ride & Ski will provide transportation from EMS & WMS to Timber Ridge Resort for program dates. Participants will need to be picked up at Timber Ridge at 5:30 pm sharp.  VASA Ski Club offers a limited number of partial and full scholarships.  To have your student considered for a scholarship, please DO NOT complete the online registration process.  Contact the Program Administrator at 1516fair@gmail.com to begin the scholarship application. Registration Deadline & Details Deadline: Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 Registration deadlines are final. Late registrations may not be accepted after the posted registration close date. In an effort to be a good community partner, LEAP will accept non-TCAPS students when possible. Space is limited and enrollment may be capped for various offerings. Payment is required at the time of registration. To register online using a Discover, MasterCard, Visa, or ACH (via a checking or savings account) please register below. Payment with cash or check can be made at the LEAP office located at Central High School, 1150 Milliken, Traverse City. Please use the 1st (smaller) auditorium entrance - we are located just inside the doors to the right. Summer Office Hours are Mondays & Thursdays from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. School Year Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. You will also receive an email from Eleyo confirming your registration. If you do not receive the confirmation email or see the course in your dashboard, be sure you have not left any course items in your shopping basket.
