    Advertising Packages Valid for the 2022-23 School Year LEAP Email and Social Media ads are a great way to reach TCAPS students directly. With over 10,000 readers, your next event, class, or workshop can reach a wide audience. Rates begin at just $200.00 per advertising package and can be catered to students who are in your program’s targeted age range. In order to receive maximum exposure, purchased Advertising Packages must be confirmed by LEAP by the timeline indicated on each package, this will correlate with your registration deadline (or in lieu of registration your start date for your program or date of your event).     The fees associated with the course are team registration fees. Payable to LEAP for either Cross Country, Wrestling or Track and Field team registration.
  • Boys Basketball (Grades 2-3)

    About Boys Basketball Elementary Boys Basketball is open to boys in 2nd - 5th grade (this course offering is for 2nd & 3rd Graders). The season begins on Monday , April 3rd, 2023 and will run for approximately six weeks. Teams will practice 2-3 days a week and will begin competitions after the second week of practices. Teams will be formed at each elementary school that have enough participants registered to field a team and where a volunteer coach is available. 2nd and 3rd grade teams will be combined and divided equitably as possible. In the event of low enrollment or lack of a volunteer coach, schools may be combined and/or refunds may be given. You will be contacted by the LEAP Office in the event of low enrollment for your school. Season Start & End Dates Monday, April 3rd, 2023 - Wednesday, May 10th, 2023. Practice Schedule Practices will run 1-3 days per week after school at each home school that fields enough players for a team. Exact practice days and times will be determined by the availability of the volunteer coach and will not be known until a coach is in place. Schedules vary from school to school. Following the close of registration, your student’s coach will contact you regarding a more detailed schedule. Game Schedule Games will begin the week of April 24th, 2023. Each team will have a 6 game season. Once the number of teams have been determined at each school. Games will be scheduled between 5 pm and 8 pm. Game schedules will be sent by each teams coach. Both the Central and West Leagues will compete on Mondays and Wednesdays. Helpful Information Bring a water bottle to practices and games. Teams will consist of 5-8 players. 3 v 3 play on shortened courts In the event school is closed, no LEAP activities will be held per TCAPS policy. There is no guarantee of a make-up date in the case of inclement weather. Missed games will only be made up if schedules allow. Participation Fee $52.00 for TCAPS students. Reduced fees are available to TCAPS students who qualify for the free and reduced meals program. Participation fees for those that qualify are as follows: Reduced Meals Participation Fee: $26.00 if registered by the deadline. Free Meals Participation Fee: $13.00 if registered by the deadline. $60.00 for TCAPS shared-time students (GTACS, TC Christian, Trinity Lutheran). $70.00 for non-shared time students (Children's House, Grand Traverse Academy, Greenspire, Homeschool, Old Mission Peninsula School, Pathfinder, Woodland). Reduced Rates are not available for any Non-TCAPS students. Milk Crate Basketball Assistance Need an “Assist” this season? LEAP is proud to partner with Milk Crate Basketball, a local nonprofit organization assisting KIDS IN NEED with resources to play and enjoy the game of basketball.     This is an invoice for a LEAP jersey that was not returned after your athletes season ended. If you find your athletes jersey/uniform etc. please wash and return it to their schools main office as quickly as possible. Your athlete WILL NOT receive a jersey for their next sporting season until this has been taken care of, which means they will not be able to participate in scheduled games/meets/etc. Thank you.

    About Co-Ed Track & Field LEAP Elementary Track & Field is co-ed and is open to 4th - 5th grade students of all ability levels and experience. This program of educational athletics will focus on skill development, gaining an appreciation for the sport of track and field, and teamwork. Effort, attitude, and commitment will directly influence individual growth within the program. A high level of sportsmanship will be expected of all involved with the program. All others must be behind the fencing and/or in the stands. No pets are allowed at any TCAPS event. Please do not bring your pets to the track meets as this is a school policy and is in place for the safety of everyone. Track meets can be held during all weather conditions, please send your child to meets prepared for all weather conditions. Include shorts, pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, jacket, tennis shoes, gloves, and a water bottle. As the night progresses the weather can dramatically change.
